Tigers place Sanchez on DL

Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Detroit Tigers placed pitcher Anibal Sanchez on the 15-day disabled list because of a blister.

Sanchez suffered the injury during Saturday's game against Minnesota. He left the contest after 2 2/3 hitless innings.

The right-hander is 0-2 with a 3.13 ERA in five starts this season.

Detroit, which had an unscheduled off day on Sunday because of a rainout in Minnesota, will recall pitcher Justin Miller to fill the roster spot. Miller was just sent to the minors before Saturday's game.
