Arizona Diamondbacks defeat Phillies 5-4

Aaron Hill went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and finished with three RBI, while A.J. Pollock added two hits, including a solo homer, to lead the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 5-4 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in the opener of a three-game set.

Aaron Hill went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and finished with three RBI, while A.J. Pollock added two hits, including a solo homer, to lead the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 5-4 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in the opener of a three-game set.

Paul Goldschmidt also drove in a run for the Diamondbacks, winners in three straight.

Josh Collmenter (1-2) picked up his first win of the season after scattering four hits over six scoreless innings. He fanned five without issuing a walk.

Addison Reed notched his sixth save of the season despite allowing a run in the ninth inning.

Jimmy Rollins went 2-for-5 with an RBI while Cody Asche and Tony Gwynn Jr. finished with one RBI apiece for the Phillies, losers in two of three.

Roberto Hernandez (1-1) allowed four runs on seven hits over six innings to absorb the loss.
