Habs sign Carr, Crisp to contracts

Montreal, QC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Montreal Canadiens announced Thursday the signings of forward Daniel Carr to a two-year contract and forward Connor Crisp to a three-year deal.

Carr completed his senior season at Union College as a national champion, leading the Dutchmen in scoring with 50 points (22G, 28A) in only 39 games. He posted five assists in four NCAA Tournament contests.

The 22-year-old departs college having racked up 78 goals and 79 assists in 160 appearances over four years with the program.

Crisp, 20, accumulated 28 goals and 27 assists along with 120 penalty minutes over 67 games for the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL this season, before finishing the year with Hamilton in the AHL, collecting two goals in seven contests.

Crisp was a third-round selection by the Habs in the 2013 draft.
