Noah named NBA Defensive Player of Year

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah has been selected as the 2013-14 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, the league announced Monday.

Noah, the anchor of a Chicago defense that yielded a league-low 91.8 points per game, becomes only the second player in franchise history to earn the award. Michael Jordan captured the honor for the 1987-88 season.
