Pablo Sandoval's RBI single in the seventh inning lifted the San Francisco Giants to a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night.

The news for the Dodgers could have been worse. Shortstop Hanley Ramirez left the game after he was hit on the outside of his left hand by a Ryan Vogelsong pitch leading off the seventh inning, but X-rays taken during the game came back negative.

Buster Posey also had an RBI single for the Giants, who won the opener of the three-game series 3-2 on Tuesday on Hector Sanchez's RBI single in the 12th inning.

The Giants are 4-1 in the season series.

Dee Gordon drove in the Dodgers run with a triple off Vogelsong in the sixth inning that scored Los Angeles starter Paul Maholm. The Dodgers have dropped the first two games of the series after sweeping Arizona to start a six-game road trip.
