Dallas defeats Nashville Predators 3-2

Tyler Seguin scored the winner in the fourth- round of the shootout as the Dallas Stars inched closer to a playoff spot with a 3-2 win over the Nashville Predators.

Dallas has 89 points on the season and moved two points ahead of Phoenix for the final wild card spot in the Western Conference. Phoenix lost to Columbus in overtime on Tuesday.

Jamie Benn and Alex Goligoski scored in regulation for the Stars, who have won five of seven. Kari Lehtonen stopped 27 shots.

Gabriel Bourque had both goals and Pekka Rinne made 28 saves for the Predators, who were knocked out of playoff contention with the loss.
