Michael Jordan scoring record matched by Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant has 40-consecutive 25-or-more-point games in season, tying him with Michael Jordan for record.

HOUSTON, April 5 (UPI) -- Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant matched Michael Jordan's record of 40-consecutive 25-point games in a single season Friday.

Durant scored 28 points in Friday night's loss to the Houston Rockets to match the record.

Jordan scored at least 25 points in 40-straight games during his 1986-87 season, his third year in the league. He averaged a career-high 37.1 points per game that year.
