Oviedo, formerly Leo Nunez, is recovering Tommy John surgery on his right elbow. He has gone 18-20 with a 4.34 ERA with 288 strikeouts and 92 saves in 317 games including six starts.

The Dominican Republic native hasn't appeared in a major league game since Sept. 21, 2011 after admitting to using forged documents in order to sign a major league contract and was placed on Major League Baseball's restricted list for the remainder of that season. He played seven seasons between the Kansas City Royals and the Marlins.

Beckham has only played five major league games with the Rays and is recovering from ACL surgery on his right knee.
