Daytona Beach, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The LPGA Tour announced on Wednesday that it has added the Blue Bay LPGA to the schedule. The event will take place October 23-26.

Earlier in October, the LPGA starts its Asian swing in China with the Reignwood LPGA Classic, which is in its second year on the tour's schedule.

The Blue Bay LPGA will take place at the Jian Lake Blue Bay Golf Course. It will feature a field of 81 players, and there will be no cut.

"While it's been known that we're adding another Asian stop for quite some time, I'm thrilled to make it official and excited to announce this second trip to China during our fall swing," said LPGA Commissioner Michael Whan. "Interest in the LPGA has never been higher in the Asian markets and our players have enjoyed the huge following they receive. With the sport showing big growth in China, we're looking forward to giving our players the opportunity to experience the beauty and fantastic golf of Hainan Island "

The Blue Bay LPGA will be the fourth of six straight Asian events on the LPGA's schedule. Those six events will be played in consecutive weeks running from October 2 to November 9.
