Orlando, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly addressed the DeSean Jackson trade rumors on Wednesday morning at the NFL's owners meetings.

The picture, however, is still fuzzy.

"I like DeSean, but we're always going to do what's best for the organization," Kelly said.

Kelly went on to say that he has "no issue" with Jackson and that he got along with the Eagles' top wide receiver last season, but would not commit to Jackson being on Philadelphia's roster by the start of organized team activities on April 21.

Kelly added that Jackson has not approached him or general manager Howie Roseman for a new contract.

Kelly's comments came one day after Jackson said via Twitter that he spoke to Kelly. The Philadelphia Inquirer cited a source close to the situation as saying Jackson called a few teammates Tuesday to inform them that he was staying with the Eagles.

Kelly confirmed he had a conversation with Jackson, but said that conversation is private.

Speculation has been rampant recently that the Eagles were trying to trade Jackson. The Inquirer had reported that the club was hoping to acquire a third-round pick in return for the receiver or release him if a trade could not develop.

Jackson is coming off his best season with the Eagles, setting career highs with 82 receptions and 1,332 yards. He also tied a career best with nine touchdown catches.

The 27-year-old California product has caught 356 passes for 6,117 yards with 32 touchdowns in his six-year career.
