Pelicans' Anderson out for season

New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - New Orleans Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson will undergo surgery to repair a herniated cervical disc and will miss the remainder of the season.

Anderson suffered the injury on Jan. 3 against the Boston Celtics and has not played since. He will have the surgery on Apr. 8.

In 22 games this season, Anderson averaged 19.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 36.1 minutes per game.
