Tyrone Wallace added 16 points and David Kravish had 13 points and eight rebounds for California (21-13), which advances to the quarterfinals where it will take on SMU.

Rashad Madden tallied 15 points to pace Arkansas (22-12). Bobby Portis produced 12 points and 10 rebounds and Alandise Harris chipped in 12 points of his own.

The Golden Bears dominated in the first half, sinking 62.5 percent of their shots from the floor, while limiting the Razorbacks to 25 percent shooting, as they took a 38-23 lead at intermission.

California pushed its lead to as many as 24 points in the second half by shooting 47.8 percent from the floor. Arkansas got no closer than nine points during the final 20 minutes.

Arkansas forced 16 turnovers, while committing only five, but hit just four of 24 shots from the 3-point range. California had a 17-10 scoring edge at the free-throw line.
