Braves rout the Tigers in spring training

Jason Heyward stroked his fourth home run of the spring in the Atlanta Braves' 12-3 win over the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday.

Gerald Laird also went deep for Atlanta, which finished with 16 hits and 6- of-13 with runners in scoring position. Dan Uggla had a pair of hits and two RBI while Cedric Hunter doubled and scored twice.

Ervin Santana started and went three innings for the Braves, allowing two runs on four hits.

Nick Castellanos doubled twice for Detroit, while Victor Martinez, Alex Gonzalez and Austin Jackson all drove in runs. Rick Porcello was torched for six runs on 10 hits in six frames.
