Nyquist, Lundqvist and Iginla named NHL's 'Three Stars'

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Detroit Red Wings forward Gustav Nyquist, New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist and Boston Bruins forward Jarome Iginla have been selected as the NHL's 'Three Stars' for the period ending March 23.

Nyquist led all players with six goals and tied for the league lead with seven points over four games. He opened the week with two goals in a 3-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Mar. 18, then capped the week with a two-goal performance in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Minnesota Wild on Mar. 23.

Lundqvist went 3-0-0 with a 1.67 GAA, .942 save percentage and one shutout to help the Rangers win three consecutive games. He started the week by making 35 saves in an 8-4 triumph over the Ottawa Senators on Mar. 18, moving past Mike Richter and into sole possession of first place in Rangers history with his 302nd career victory.

Iginla had five goals in four outings to help the Bruins extend their winning streak to 12 games and take over the top spot in the NHL standings.
