Chicago White Sox hold off Seattle

Marcus Semien stroked a three-run homer during Chicago's five-run second inning and the White Sox held off the Seattle Mariners, 7-6, on Monday in spring training action.

Marcus Semien stroked a three-run homer during Chicago's five-run second inning and the White Sox held off the Seattle Mariners, 7-6, on Monday in spring training action.

Paul Konerko clubbed a two-run homer in the sixth and finished with two runs scored for the White Sox, who saw starter Erik Johnson allow three runs on four hits and three walks over six innings.

Robinson Cano collected two hits and four RBI, while Dustin Ackley and Michael Saunders registered an RBI apiece in the loss.

Seattle starter Blake Beavan surrendered all seven runs on seven hits over 5 1/3 frames.
