Led by 26 points by Aaron Thomas, the top-seeded Florida State Seminoles downed the fourth-seeded Georgetown Hoyas 101-90 in second-round action of the National Invitation Tournament at the Donald L. Tucker Center.

For the Seminoles (21-13), Devon Bookert added 21 points and nine assists, while Ian Miller finished with 18 points and Okaro White chipped in with 16 points. The Seminoles moves on to the quarterfinal round and will play Louisiana Tech, which defeated Georgia to earn its spot.

Markel Starks paced the Hoyas (18-15) with 27 points, D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera finished with 22 points, Jabril Trawick scored 14 and Aaron Bowen tallied 10 points.

FSU shot 64 percent from the field in the first half, knocking down 8-of-13 tries from beyond the arc in the process, as the Seminoles took a 48-35 lead into intermission, finishing the half on a 12-2 run. Georgetown was held to just 39.3 percent shooting from the field, although the Hoyas were somewhat effective from deep, hitting on 5-of-12 from 3-point distance.

The Seminoles continued their sharp shooting in the second half, draining a scorching 73.7 percent of their shots from the field. The Hoyas tried to stay close by hitting on 54.5 percent of their own field goal tries after the break, including 4-of-`0 from beyond the arc. Georgetown opened the second half on a 7-2 run to cut their deficit to just eight, but they would get no closer than that in the period.

FSU finished the game with a 29-26 rebounding edge. The Hoyas did force 16 Seminole turnovers and convert them into 27 points.
