Oregon had a little less trouble handling BYU in the rematch between the teams. Some extra depth certainly helped.

Elgin Cook had a career-high 23 points to go with eight rebounds off the bench as seventh-seeded Oregon knocked off 10th-seeded BYU, 87-68, in a second round NCAA Tournament game from Milwaukee.

The Ducks edged BYU, 100-96, in overtime on Dec. 21 and outscored the Cougars' bench by a 49-10 margin in the sequel.

After Matt Carlino nailed a 3-pointer to bring BYU within 56-53 with 12:03 left, Oregon countered with an elongated 30-8 run to put the game out of reach.
