Chicago Cubs suffer shutout against Mariners

Dustin Ackley had three hits to back six shutout innings from Erasmo Ramirez as the Seattle Mariners posted a 3-0 Cactus League victory over the Chicago Cubs.

Ramirez scattered four hits and struck out four while walking none.

Kyle Seager and John Buck each had a sacrifice fly for Seattle.

Cubs starter Jeff Samardzija allowed two runs on six hits, walked two and fanned eight in 5 1/3 innings.
