Brad Miller smacked a solo homer among his three hits and the Seattle Mariners and the San Diego Padres played to a 5-5 tie in spring training action.

Willie Bloomquist and Endy Chavez each tallied an RBI and a run scored for Seattle, which got four shutout innings from starter Randy Wolf.

Carlos Quentin smacked a two-run double for the Padres. Starter Josh Johnson allowed a run on three hits and two walks over 4 1/3 frames.
