Dedmon to stay with Magic for rest of season

Orlando, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Orlando Magic have signed center Dewayne Dedmon for the remainder of the season.

Dedmon has appeared in three games for the Magic since joining the club in late February on the first of two 10-day contracts. He has averaged 2.3 points and 1.0 rebounds for Orlando.

Before signing with the Magic, Dedmon also played for Golden State and Philadelphia this season. In 18 combined games, he has averaged 2.5 points and 2.9 rebounds.

The Magic also declined to keep swingman Adonis Thomas, whose second 10-day deal has expired. He played in four games with the Magic and averaged 2.3 points.
