Caps' Laich has surgery

Arlington, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Capitals will have to continue their playoff push without Brooks Laich.

The club announced Monday that the forward underwent a procedure to release a tight adductor and is likely sidelined 4-to-6 weeks.

Laich has eight goals and seven assists in 51 games this season.
