Richard T. Lee wins by 1 in the Philippines

Manila, Philippines (SportsNetwork.com) - Richard T. Lee closed with a 2-under 69 on Sunday and came from behind to the win the Solaire Open.

Lee ended at 7-under-par 277. The win was his first on the Asian Tour.

The Canadian parred six of his first seven, but the other was a double-bogey on the par-4 fourth. Lee got those strokes back with back-to-back birdies at eight and nine.

Lee made it three straight birdies at the 10th. He gave that shot back when he bogeyed the 11th, but he bounced right back with a birdie on 12. After a pair of pars, Lee birdied the 15th to move to minus-7 and he parred the last three to end there and earn the win.

Chawalit Plaphol posted a 1-under 70 and ended one back at minus-6. Carlos Pigem shot 69 to take third at 5-under 279.

Masahiro Kawamura (65), Steve Lewton (67) and Paul Peterson (69) shared fourth place at minus-4 at The Country Club.

Third-round leader Angelo Que stumbled to a septuple-bogey 12 on the par-5 second to tumble down the leaderboard. Que, who hit three balls out of bounds on the second, struggled to an 11-over 82, which dropped him into a share of 21st at 2-over 286.
