"He went really well," Sadler said of Candy Boy. "He looked very sharp. He'll have two more works before the race."

Candy Boy, owned by C R K Stable, posted a half-length win over Chitu in the 1 1/16-mile Lewis in his first start of the year. The colt was second in the CashCall Futurity in December at Hollywood Park just three weeks after breaking his maiden.

The 3-year-old has two wins and two seconds in six starts for $305,600.
