Cincinnati defeats LA Dodgers in Cactus League play

Chris Heisey hit a three-run home run to help the Cincinnati Reds to an 8-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Cactus League play on Thursday.

Chris Heisey hit a three-run home run to help the Cincinnati Reds to an 8-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Cactus League play on Thursday.

Todd Frazier hit a solo home run and scored twice for the Reds. Alfredo Simon gave up a run on five hits with three strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings.

Hanley Ramirez hit a solo home run and Justin Turner drove in the other run for the Dodgers. Paul Maholm was banged up for six runs -- five earned -- on six hits over 2 2/3 innings of starting action.
