Boston beats Minnesota 4-3 in spring training

Dustin Pedroia hit a game-winning two-run double in the fifth inning to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 4-3 win over the Minnesota Twins in spring training action.

Dustin Pedroia hit a game-winning two-run double in the fifth inning to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 4-3 win over the Minnesota Twins in spring training action.

Pedroia went 2-for-3, Shane Victorino was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Xander Bogaerts reached base and scored by error on both plays.

Jake Peavy threw three innings giving up one run on two hits for Boston.

Aaron Hicks picked up an RBI while going 1-for-3, Kurt Suzuki and Danny Santana each had a hit and an RBI apiece for the Twins. Phil Hughes pitched three innings giving up four hits and two unearned runs.
