Jets reach deal with Giacomini

Florham Park, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Jets have quickly filled a hole on the right side of their offensive line, agreeing to terms with former Seattle Seahawks tackle Breno Giacomini on Wednesday.

Contract terms were not disclosed.

Giacomini started the final 12 games at right tackle -- including a pair of playoff tests as well as Super Bowl XLVIII -- during the Seahawks' 2013 championship season after returning from a knee injury that sidelined him for seven weeks.

The 28-year-old started all 18 contests (including playoffs) for Seattle the previous year.

Giacomini's signing comes one day after the Jets lost incumbent right tackle Austin Howard to the Oakland Raiders in free agency.
