MLS Game Summary - Montreal at FC Dallas

Frisco, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - FC Dallas got its 2014 campaign off to a good start on Saturday as Blas Perez scored a goal and assisted on another in a 3-2 Dallas win over the Montreal Impact at Toyota Stadium.

The Impact got off to a quick start with a goal from Sanna Nyassi in the 10th minute, but Dallas stormed back with three unanswered goals as Fabian Castillo, Perez and Mauro Diaz each beat goalkeeper Troy Perkins.

Andrew Wenger's goal in the 65th gave Montreal some life, but Dallas saw out the final 25 minutes to snatch a win in its first game under new head coach Oscar Pareja.

Some good work by Justin Mapp on the wing saw him elude two defenders and drive a low ball to the front of goal where Nyassi redirected it past goalkeeper Chris Seitz.

However, the hosts responded within six minutes as Perez set up the equalizer for Castillo to level the match at 1-1.

Dallas snatched the lead in the 24th minute when Diaz was brought down inside the penalty area by Montreal's Jeb Brovsky, leading to a successful penalty kick from Perez.

Diaz found the net himself with a fantastic free kick early in the second half that saw him curl the ball over the wall and leave Perkins rooted to his spot.

Montreal bounced back through Wenger, who headed home a cross from Felipe Martins, but Dallas held off the visitors to give Pareja a successful debut.
