NBA rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo ran to game because he didn't have cab fare

MILWAUKEE, March 6 (UPI) -- Run, Giannis, run:

NBA rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo isn’t just learning about how to play defense or pass out of double-teams during his first year in the league; he’s also learning a thing or two about cabs, or, more specifically, how to pay for them.

Chris Mannix profiled Antetokounmpo for Sports Illustrated and he shared one story about the first-year Greek player on Twitter.

It’s a funny story and it’s fitting that it would come from Antetokounmpo considering he has been one of the few bright spots in what has been a brutal season for the Bucks.
