Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Cardinals re-signed nose tackle Alameda Ta'amu to a one-year contract on Thursday.

Ta'amu played in 14 games with three starts last season for the Cardinals after the team claimed him off waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 1.

The 6-foot-3, 348-pounder had 13 tackles, including three for loss.

He spent his rookie season with the Steelers in 2012 after being selected in the fourth round (109th overall) of the NFL Draft out of Washington. Ta'amu was inactive for seven games as a rookie and also spent six weeks on the team's practice squad.
