The 33-year-old Foote's 2013 season ended with a torn bicep in the opener.

Originally selected by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL Draft, Foote has 720 tackles, 23 sacks and three interceptions in 172 NFL games.

Curtis Brown spent three seasons with the Steelers after being selected by Pittsburgh in the third round of the 2011 draft. He recorded 49 tackles in 34 games.

Levi Brown was acquired by the Steelers in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals on Oct. 2, 2013. He did not play in a game with Pittsburgh due to a triceps injury that ended his season.

Levi Brown was originally selected by the Cardinals with the fifth overall pick in the 2007 draft.

The moves came on the same day that safety Troy Polamalu and tight end Heath Miller received contract extensions.
