Sabres deal longtime goalie Ryan Miller to Blues

BUFFALO, N.Y., Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Longtime Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller has been traded to the St. Louis Blues as part of a five-player deal announced Friday.

Miller, a 10-year Sabres veteran and former Vezina Trophy winner, was shipped to the Blues along with captain Steve Ott.

Heading to Buffalo are goalie Jaroslav Halak, forward Chris Stewart and minor-leaguer William Carrier, as well as pair of draft choices.

Miller is the Sabres' all-time leader in wins with 284. Both he and Ott were set to become unrestricted free agents at the end of the current season.
