NHL: Minnesota 3, Edmonton 0

EDMONTON, Alberta, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Darcy Kuemper posted his second shutout of the season by making 21 saves in the Minnesota Wild's 3-0 whitewash of the Edmonton Oilers.

Kuemper weather 10 shots in the second period to preserve the win as Edmonton whiffed on four power-play opportunities in a game in which Minnesota was socked with 19 penalty minutes.

Mikael Granlund, Stephane Veilleux and Dany Heatley scored for the Wild, who have won three in a row. Minnesota went 0-for-2 on their power plays.

Ben Scrivens stopped 18-of-21 shots for the Oilers. Edmonton racked up 15 penalty minutes.
