BUFFALO, N.Y., Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Tyler Myers led Buffalo with a goal and two assists Friday and the Sabres shook off the trade of longtime goalie Ryan Miller with a 4-2 win over San Jose.

Cody Hodgson, Brian Flynn and Matt Moulson also scored for the Sabres, who learned before the game that Ryan -- the franchise's all-time wins leader -- and captain Steve Ott had been dealt to the St. Louis Blues.

In return, Buffalo received goaltender Jaroslav Halak, forward Chris Stewart, minor-leaguer William Carrier and a pair of draft picks.

Jhonas Enroth took over in net for Buffalo and stopped 36-of-38 shots as the Sabres notched a third straight win and sixth in a row against the Sharks.

Patrick Marleau and James Sheppard scored for San Jose.

Antti Niemi turned aside 16-of-19 shots.
