The deal puts the tight end in the top ten at his position in terms of compensation.

Pitta caught 61 passes for 669 yards and seven touchdowns in 2012 but missed the majority of 2013 after suffering a hip injury in July. He came back in December and totaled 169 yards and a touchdown in four games.
The Ravens will now attempt to re-sign free agent tackle Eugene Monroe who was acquired in a midseason trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
