SACRAMENTO, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- After making the much-publicized decision to leave the Los Angeles Lakers to sign with the Houston Rockets, Dwight Howard is probably one of the most disliked players in the NBA.
His behavior before Tuesday night’s game against the Sacramento Kings probably isn’t helping things.
A fan shot a video of Howard playing one-on-one against a little kid, a game that Howard apparently couldn’t afford to lose.
In the clip, Howard is seen blocking the little kid’s shots, at which point the crowd boos.
The young player gets the ball back and then dribbles through Howard’s legs for a layup.
Houston defeated Sacramento 129-103 behind 43 points from James Harden.
Also on Tuesday, Howard told USA Today that he is advising New York Knick Carmelo Anthony about his impending free agency.
"He has been in the league for a long time," Howard said about Anthony. "He hasn't made it to the Finals and at this point in his career he wants to win. You can see it every night when he plays. I know he has to take a lot of shots and all that stuff, but he just wants to win. I can't say (what he'll do). That's on him. He's got to decide. (But) he can't be what everybody else wants. In this situation, you've got to take your heart out of it…So I'd just say for him, take his heart out of it and think with his head and think about business."
