SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Gordon Hayward and Richard Jefferson both scored 17 points Wednesday and the Utah Jazz topped the visiting Phoenix Suns 109-86.

Hayward also had 10 rebounds and was among seven Jazz players who scored in double figures.

The win was the second in a row the Jazz. Phoenix's losing streak was extended to three games.

Gerald Green led the Suns with 17 points and Archie Goodwin added 16 off the bench. The Suns' leading scorer this season, Goran Dragic, sat out the game with a sprained right ankle.

"We played last night and were shorthanded and it just looked like the guys ran out of gas," said Suns coach Jeff Hornacek.

Utah outscored the Suns in every quarter and shot 56.8 percent from the field to 38.8 percent for Phoenix. Utah led by as many as 25 points in a game that featured just four lead changes.
