Feb. 26, 2014 at 12:24 AM

PHOENIX, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Kevin Love was an assist short of a triple-double Tuesday, but his 31 points and 13 rebounds were key in the Minnesota Timberwolves' 110-101 win over Phoenix.

Love notched nine assists and barely missed registering his second career triple-double in as many weeks.

Shabazz Muhammad scored 20 points off the bench and Corey Brewer scored 18 in Minnesota's fourth victory in their last five outings.

Markieff Morris scored 24 to lead the Suns, who have lost back-to-back games. Gerald Green added 19 and Goran Dragic tallied 16.

Minnesota outscored the Suns 35-20 in the fourth quarter and prevailed despite being out-rebounded in the game 50-38.

The Timberwolves shot a sluggish 65.6 percent from the free-throw line, but they scored 21 points on foul shots compared to just 14 for the Suns.
