NBA: Dallas 108, New Orleans 89

DALLAS, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Monta Ellis netted 23 points and Dirk Nowitzki added 18 Wednesday, boosting the Dallas Mavericks to a fourth straight win, 108-89 over New Orleans.

Ellis handed out seven assists and Vince Carter totaled 17 points for the Mavs.

Shawn Marion helped out with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Eric Gordon got 19 points for the Pelicans, who lost star forward Anthony Davis to a sprained left shoulder in the second quarter.

Brian Roberts supplied 17 points as New Orleans dropped a fifth straight.
