JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- South African Olympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius was allegedly surfing porn websites immediately prior to shooting his girlfriend, a court document reveals.
The leaked document, which the British newspaper the Independent reported Monday is believed to be a part of the court's investigation of Pistorius' February 2013 shooting of Reeva Steenkamp, contradicts contentions the two were a loving couple spending time together on Valentine's Day.
Pistorius, 27, a double amputee, admits shooting Steenkamp, 29, but claims he mistook her for an intruder. His murder trial is scheduled to begin in March.
Prosecution documents revealed last week Pistorius was "most likely on his stumps," or not wearing his prosthetic legs, when he shot Steenkamp. The documents belie earlier claims Pistorius took the time to install his legs, suggesting he was not panicked at the prospect of an intruder breaking into his home.
