Olympic Medal: Women's Biathlon Relay

SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Ukraine won the Olympic gold medal Friday in the women's biathlon relay.

It was the first gold medal of these Olympics for Ukraine, bringing the number of countries with at least one victory to a record 21. The previous record had been 19, established four years ago in Vancouver.

The silver was won by Russia and the bronze went to Norway.
