SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 20 (UPI) --
Maddie Brown of the United States won the Olympic gold medal Thursday in the women's freestyle skiing halfpipe.
Brown had the best two performances in the finals of an event that was being conducted in the Winter Olympics for the first time.
The silver went to Marie Martinod of France and the bronze was won by Ayana Onozuka of Japan.
