SOCHI , Russia, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- U.S. skier Ted Ligety won his second Olympic gold medal in the Alpine Skiing Men's Giant Slalom event Wednesday.
The 29-year-old wont first place with a total time of 2:45.29 seconds. He was joined on the podium by Fench skiers Steve Missilier and Alexis Pinturault, who finished 0.48 seconds and 0.64 seconds after him, respectively.
