SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Norwegians Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg and Marit Bjoergen won the Olympic gold medal Wednesday in the women's cross-country team sprint.
The silver went to Finland and Sweden received the bronze.

The event consists of two team members taking turns skiing legs of 1.5 kilometers each. Three legs are skied by each competitor.
