NBA: Charlotte 116, Detroit 98

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Al Jefferson provided 29 points and eight rebounds Wednesday and the Charlotte Bobcats bested Detroit 116-98 to complete a home-and-home sweep.

Kemba Walker dished off a personal-best 16 assists to go with 24 points for the Bobcats, who established a 2 1/2-game lead over the Pistons for the Eastern Conference's eighth playoff spot.

Josh McRoberts totaled 15 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Gerald Henderson and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist netted 11 points each for Charlotte.

The Pistons were led by Brandon Jennings with 20 points.

Rodney Stuckey (15 points), Josh Smith and Will Bynum (14 each) also reached double figures.
