NBA: Miami 117, Dallas 106

DALLAS, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- LeBron James scored a season-high 42 points Tuesday while leading the Miami Heat to a 117-106 road victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

James hit 16-of-23 shots from the field, including four 3-pointers, and also pulled down nine rebounds in the tune-up for Thursday's marquee game between the Heat and Oklahoma City.

Chris Bosh finished with 22 points for the Heat, who are 4-1 on their current road trip. Chris Anderson scored 18 off the bench and Dwyane Wade tallied 13.

Miami shot 57.1 percent from the field to 40 percent for the Mavericks, who had won six of their last seven games prior to the weekend All-Star break. The game featured 23 lead changes.

Dirk Nowitzki led Dallas with 22 points and nine rebounds. Vince Carter scored 15, including a four-point play that gave the Mavericks the lead with 7:47 left in regulation.

Miami was not to be denied and outscored the hosts 33-21 in the fourth quarter.
