Olympic Medal: Two-Man Bobsled

SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Alexander Zubkov and Alexey Voevoda of Russia won the the Olympic gold medal Monday in the two-man bobsled.

The silver went to Beat Hefti and Alex Baumann of Switzerland and the bronze was won by Steven Holcomb and Steven Langdon of the United States.

It was the first two-man bobsled Olympic medal for the United States in 62 years. Holcomb drove the American four-man sled to a gold medal at the Vancouver Games.

Zubkov, who carried the Russian flag in the opening ceremonies, turned in a four-run combined time of 3:45.39.
