Feb. 16, 2014 at 7:11 AM   |   Comments

SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Sweden won the gold medal Sunday in the men's cross-country relay, completing a sweep of that event at the Olympics.

The Swedish women had won their race on Saturday. It was the second straight Olympic title for the men from Sweden, but this was the first time in Olympic history that both the men's and women's races had been won by a team from that country.

Russia won the silver medal in Sunday's race and France took the bronze in a major upset. Norway was shut out of the medals.
