SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Alla Tsuper of Belarus won the Olympic gold medal Friday in women's freestyle skiing aerials.
Prior to the Sochi Games, Belarus had one Winter Olympics gold medal to its credit. That country won two of them on Friday and has three since the Winter Games began.

The silver medal went to Xu Mengtao of China and the bronze to Lydia Lassila of Australia.
The highest score of the day was turned in by American Ashley Caldwell in qualifying, a 101.25, but she was eliminated in the first stage of the three-stage finals.
