JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- A South African woman said Thursday she has reached an out-of-court settlement in a 2009 assault case against sprinter and accused murderer Oscar Pistorius.

Cassidy Taylor-Memmory told the South African news organization Eyewitness News her lawyers reached an agreement with Pistorius' legal team in December, with Pistorius agreeing to pay her legal fees but offering no apology. No other details of the settlement were offered.

Taylor-Memmory claimed Pistorius punched a door at his home during a party, leading to his arrest and her leg injuries. He sued her, claiming he lost public appearance fees because of the arrest, but later dropped the claim, Eyewitness News said.

Pistorius shot and killed girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in 2013, believing, he said, she was an intruder. His murder trial is scheduled to begin March 3.
