Russia outshot Sweden 31-16 to finish 3-0 in group play. Sweden also reached the quarterfinals and will face Finland.

The Russia-Switzerland winner will take on Canada in the semifinals and the Finland-Sweden survivor will face the United States.

Japan and Germany were the only teams not to make the quarterfinals. Germany scored a 4-0 win over Japan early Thursday to finish third in Group B.
